Okay, The Albright Blog is back! At least for right now. I'm not making any promises. Here's the last year and a half in a nut shell. I was Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie
Brandon was Buddy in the Buddy Holly Story
If you missed it you can see video on Brandon's sweet new website www.brandonalbright.com. You can also listen to his music from his album "Armed in Silence" which we are putting together. Brandon's also been cruisin' a lot with a Franki Vallie tribute show "Oh What A Night" It's been so fun for him and us to get the chance to travel so much. We've been to Bermuda, the Mexican Rivera, New England, and the Eastern Carribean in the last 6 months. He's in Tahiti right now with the show.
We also went to Cancun over Thanksgiving with my family. It was a blast! Both my sisters and husbands were there with their kids and of course Nana and Papa were there.
So pretty much we've just been beach bums with a little singing in the middle! Life's so hard! Anyway, that's the jist. If you want to see pics from our travels check out our facebook pages!

Gone for two weeks!
So, my husband left yesterday for two weeks. He got a gig as a guest entertainer on Norwegian Cruise Lines. I'm so excited for him, but so sad that he will be gone soooo long. But, get this, he comes home for two days and then we leave for NYC for a few days and then board our cruise on, yes, Norwegian Cruise Lines! A few weeks before he got the gig, we booked a 13 day cruise on Norwegian. So, he'll be on a ship for most of Oct. Life is so hard! I can't wait for our vacation together!
He's only been gone one night and I was totally freaked out! I didn't think I would have a problem. I lived alone for quite awhile before I was married. Lily woke me up around 3am because she had to go to the bathroom. So, I opened the bedroom door and went back to bed. Then, I had a dream that someone was breaking into my house. I was up for an hour scared out of my mind! Sweetheart come back and protect me!
This is a little random, but last weekend we went to Newport with Brandon's family. We could only stay a day, but had a blast on the beach! I love the Albright Newport tradition. We boogie boarded, laid out, took a walk on the beach, hung out with all the babies...Brandon got thrown up on by one of his nieces...Good times! Here's
some pictures...

The Sleepover!
So, a week ago we had a sleepover with all my nieces and nephews. It was a blast! No one cried or fought. They are such good kids! We made smores on the firepit, set up tents, and tried to watch a movie outside with the projector, but couldn't because the speakers wouldn't go loud enough. So, we ended up inside watching "The Neverending Story".
However, the highlight of the night was definately the play they put on. They decided to do "Aida" and, of course, I had to help with costumes and make-up! Check out the boys abs!
Brookie as Princess Amneris
Radames and his army
The whole cast
Washing the filth of battle from his skin
Aida takes over!
The slaves
I haven't been able to upload the video of the show. I'll keep trying!

Brandon's audition opportunity!!!
So, Brandon's going to kill me for writing this, but I just love it so much! He got contacted by a show in town who is looking for a new lead singer. Someone affiliated with the show saw Aida and recommended him for the job. What show is it? Drumroll please....CHIPPENDALES! Isn't that great! He is so flattered! I'm so proud that my husband got asked to audition to be a CHIPPENDALE. Don't be judgy, but we decided we should go see what the show was like, so we went on Tuesday night. It was quite...mmm...exciting...and a lot dirtier than we thought. I thought they would just be dancing in their skivvies. Not quite...Anyway...
I don't think Brandon will be part of the show, but what a compliment!!!

Too busy to blog...WHAT???!?!?
I can't believe it's already been three weeks since my last post. So much has happened! Brandon's show AIDA opened at Spring Mountain Ranch. It is AWESOME! It is one of the best shows I've seen in town. He's so good in it. I'm so proud!
I had a gig at the Wynn last week. It was a birthday party for a high roller from Thailand. We sang a bunch of Abba songs. It was ABBALICIOUS. Check this out! Don't laugh too hard....and yes, they paid me to wear that!
Today was our 3 year wedding anniversary. We went and saw Jersey Boys last night and the hotel upgraded us to the front row! It was a great show. He got me roses, the Sugarland CD, and a block of cheese. He knows me so well!
Today was tough, though. My car battery died and my phone wasn't working so Brandon had to wait around for me and chaffeur me around. It was rough, but the good news is my car is now fixedand so is my phone. We had to go to the MAC store in the mall, so I even got a new dress out of it!
Hailey and Westley had a birthday party...
Hailey got baptised by her Uncle Brandon. We're so proud of her!
Brandon's mom had a birthday party too! She bought her little grandbabies (our neices) these cute little outfits. They're kinda Abbalicious too! Here's Dakota and Madison...

Time to catch up!
It's been a few weeks since my last post and so much has happened! I turned 28! Here are my birthday presents...I got this SWEET inflatable pool. I know it's not much, but I love lounging in my raft and reading my book.
We had a great party at my parents. Here's me and Carol with the babies in the spa.
And drumroll please...This rocking red laptop! I love it and I got a verizon card where I can get on the internet anywhere. It's great for work!
Last week I went and watched Taylor in her first school play. She was George Washington and she was awesome! I was so proud of her!
We went and saw 1776 at Spring Mountain Ranch with the Mengs. They've left to go back to Idaho. That's dumb! We'll miss you guys!
Ok. I know this has been a really random blog, but I've had requests to post pics of our house and backyard. Brandon did the whole backyard himself! He's so amazing!Jacob. This is for you!
Also, these are from my 10 year high school reunion! Arghhh! Brandon is so proud that his wife dated Matthew Grey Gubler, star of Alvin and the Chipmunks and Criminal Minds.
K. I think that catches me up! They'll be more to come from the sweet Pioneer Day Celebration we are planning for our ward this week!
