Too busy to blog...WHAT???!?!?

I can't believe it's already been three weeks since my last post. So much has happened! Brandon's show AIDA opened at Spring Mountain Ranch. It is AWESOME! It is one of the best shows I've seen in town. He's so good in it. I'm so proud!

I had a gig at the Wynn last week. It was a birthday party for a high roller from Thailand. We sang a bunch of Abba songs. It was ABBALICIOUS. Check this out! Don't laugh too hard....and yes, they paid me to wear that!

Today was our 3 year wedding anniversary. We went and saw Jersey Boys last night and the hotel upgraded us to the front row! It was a great show. He got me roses, the Sugarland CD, and a block of cheese. He knows me so well!

Today was tough, though. My car battery died and my phone wasn't working so Brandon had to wait around for me and chaffeur me around. It was rough, but the good news is my car is now fixedand so is my phone. We had to go to the MAC store in the mall, so I even got a new dress out of it!

Hailey and Westley had a birthday party...

Hailey got baptised by her Uncle Brandon. We're so proud of her!

Brandon's mom had a birthday party too! She bought her little grandbabies (our neices) these cute little outfits. They're kinda Abbalicious too! Here's Dakota and Madison...

Time to catch up!

It's been a few weeks since my last post and so much has happened! I turned 28! Here are my birthday presents...I got this SWEET inflatable pool. I know it's not much, but I love lounging in my raft and reading my book.

We had a great party at my parents. Here's me and Carol with the babies in the spa.

And drumroll please...This rocking red laptop! I love it and I got a verizon card where I can get on the internet anywhere. It's great for work!

Last week I went and watched Taylor in her first school play. She was George Washington and she was awesome! I was so proud of her!

We went and saw 1776 at Spring Mountain Ranch with the Mengs. They've left to go back to Idaho. That's dumb! We'll miss you guys!

Ok. I know this has been a really random blog, but I've had requests to post pics of our house and backyard. Brandon did the whole backyard himself! He's so amazing!Jacob. This is for you!

Also, these are from my 10 year high school reunion! Arghhh! Brandon is so proud that his wife dated Matthew Grey Gubler, star of Alvin and the Chipmunks and Criminal Minds.

K. I think that catches me up! They'll be more to come from the sweet Pioneer Day Celebration we are planning for our ward this week!

"You Wanna Make A Memory?"-Bon Jovi

So both my sissy's have this on there blog and I do everything they do!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Sounds fun, huh???

All in!

This last week Brandon performed in a new Musical at the Rio called "All In." It based on poker. It the back story of nine characters who are the finalists at the World Series of Poker. It was so fun to see him perform in a showroom. He plays Phil Hellmuth and has all the big production numbers with the half naked girls. It's great! It's supposed open at the Rio in the fall. We hope he gets cast! It would be so great for him to have a more permanent gig.

Here's a little blurb about it....

Producer Tim Molyneux, who has shows around the world and has worked with such big names as Dolly Parton, Playboy, Crystal Cruises, and it currently featured on E! Entertainment Television and the Lifetime Channel with another of his original creations, Bite at the Stratosphere, announced the concert showcase of his newest original work, All In, The Poker Musical at the Rio Hotel and Casino on July 3.Featuring such Broadway show veterans as Jimmy Lockett (Big River, The Music of Andrew Llooyd Webber, Starlight Express, and Cats); Reva Rice (Starlight Express, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Fosse, Chicago, and Spamalot); and Brandon Nix (We Will Rock You), All In, The Poker Musical compares the game of poker with the game of life. The story revolves around the final nine players who are real people from all walks of life - the professionals and the common man. These clearly identifiable characters sing songs that are interlaced with poker analogies, quotes, lingo, and situations that also apply to the game of life and the cards we are all dealt.

I was tagged!

Okay Pir...I guess I'm "it". My sister tagged me and asked me to write about my favorite memory of the 4th of July.

My favorite memory is the same as hers. We used to have a huge block party on the fourth of July with a huge water balloon fight. Us kids and my neighbors would fill up water balloons all day. I think we filled like 6000 balloons. There were baby pools filled with them and then we would have a huge battle with super soakers and water balloon launchers. It was tradition growing up.

This year was great too. We went over to Kirsten's cul de sac and all the neighbors were out with their friends and family and we all sat and watched fireworks and the kids all had sparklers. It was awesome. So many illegal fireworks in that neighborhood. When we were driving over there I asked Brandon what festival was going on and when we got closer I realized it was my sisters neighborhood! I told her I was suprised the cops hadn't shown up and then we saw the headlights. The cops came and gave everyone a warning. We waited about 20 minutes and then lit the rest of them up. It was a great show! Pir, we need to do the water balloon fight next year in your neighborhood. It'll be so fun!

Okay, now I tag Michelle, Ashley, and Ashlee!

I'm a blogger???

Okay, so I'm giving credit for this blog to two people...my sister Kirsten who has just started blogging (you're a great example Pir) and my husband who is doing a show and so my nights are pretty free now (yes, I am now a theatre widow). I figured now would be a great time to blogify (that word was very Glinda the Good Witch from Wicked.) I'm excited because I have a really bad memory (I'm almost 30! Okay I have 2 more years...but it's looming.) It'll be good to have record of our life. A reminder of what our life was like in the good ol' days.

I don't even know where to begin...do I just pick up from now or give a brief history? Is there a protocol? I guess I'll give a brief background or prologue as it's called in the theatre world. Brandon and I have been married for almost 3 years. Holy cow! Where has the time gone? We have no babies yet, but we are definately beginning to hear the ticking of the clock... I have a feeling I will be a baby-making machine in the next five years! (My husband will love that last comment!) Brandon and I love music. That's how we met in the sweetest, lovely, and vomit inducing way possible....We met doing the music Cinderella. I was Cinderella and he was Prince Charming and we fell in love and got married in real life. I think Heavenly Father really wanted me to get married and felt he had to beat me over the head to see that Brandon was the one. I was waiting for the perfect fairy tale prince and there he was (in tights and everything, just kidding. There were no tights...)

Now, we live in a great house (we just finished the backyard, Brandon did it all by himself!) with our little baby girl, Lillian Dorian Fotheringham-Albright. I am a real estate broker and Brandon is a student/musician/actor/jewelry saleman. I think that's a pretty good description of us in a nutshell. KIT! Keep In Touch. Ha! That's what I said to Brandon when he left for rehearsal today....He thought it meant Kiss and Tell...what school did he go to?
